Mission

The mission of this anti ragging cell is to help students study and live in fun without fear

Objectives

  • To eradicate ragging and bullying in the college through awareness sessions
  • To protect the lives and dignity of students in the institution
  • To conduct activities and events which involve interaction among seniors and juniors for creating healthy environment in the campus
  • As a precautionary measure to prevent ragging, the committee took the following decisions in the meeting:
    • All the students are informed about the consequence and disciplinary procedure to be followed by the authorities and no excuse is given.
    • The class room of the fresher’s that is the first year’s students will be located on a separate floor.
    • A staff room is located on each floor so as to monitor student’s discipline
    • Students are not allowed to enter other class room and if any announcements have to be made it should be made in the presence of a teacher.
    • Teacher will be present while conducting any extra-curricular or co-curricular activities
    • All the class advisors have given the special responsibility of maintaining discipline.
    • All the other teachers also have to be alert and bring to the notice of the class disciplinary committee if there are any problems.
    • Class rooms are locked after the class hours and movements of the students in the public areas are also observed
    • During the lunch break and before the class commences in the morning, Physical Director is given the responsibility of maintaining discipline.
    • If any misbehavior is reported then such students will be warned in the presence of their parents.
    • The Principal will also take frequent rounds to ensure the discipline of the students
    • All the staff members are expected to stay back whenever there are students’ activities like management fest, etc.
    • Frequent announcements are made by the Principal about the consequence they have to face if they indulge in ragging.
    • A suggestion box is kept where students can freely express their problems and grievance.
    • The class advisor of the first year will take special care and students can approach them if they face any problem.
    • In the orientation programme conducted for the first year, Principal addresses the students and assures a healthy environment and will brief them about the avenues available to discuss any problem that they face in the campus.
    • All the students will have direct access to the Principal and the Counselor to discuss their problems.

SMS & APP SERVICE

With a view to ensure quick dissemination of information and communication, the College has the facility of sending messages through SMS and App Services.

LIBRARY/READING ROOM

The College has a full-fledged spacious library with a stack of more than 7700 books and a reading room with E-Library and INFLIBNET facility.

LAB FACILITIES

The well equipped laboratories of the departments of Hospitality Science and Food, Nutrition and Dietetics serve as effective incubation centres of the College.

HOSTEL

The College provides boarding and lodging facilities for the students from distant locations and for those who need accommodation in the College hostels.

MENTORING & COUNSELLING

The College pays special attention to the mental and spiritual wellbeing of our students. A full-time qualified counsellor is on roll to look after the mental and psychological health of the students.

PARENT TEACHER ASSOCIATION

Parent Teacher Association is a great source of strength to the College in improving the quality of discipline and students’ development.
