The Youth Red Cross in association with Internal Quality Assurance Cell organized Student Capacity Building Programme titled “FIRST AID TRAINING” for the students of YRC on December 9 th , 2022 in the college Auditorium at 3pm.Dr. Sooraj KV MD (Hom), Assistant Professor department of medicine, Father Muller Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital was the resource person. Dr. Sooraj KV the resource person dealt in detail with the topic. He gave a brief description first aid experience is not always predictable, it comes completely unplanned this is why we should always prepare for it. First aid is not to cure but to prevent further harm. He explained about the 3p’s – Preserve, prevent and promote. In addition to this he explained about CPR (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation) And said not to panic. Heexplained the uses of ORS solution and the steps to prepare it. He explained in brief the action plans that is Danger, Response, Airway, Breathing and circulation. Degree college choir led the prayer service. Mr. John Melroy Fernandes, YRC Cordinator introduced the guest and welcomed the gathering. YRC secretary , Ms. Jevita vegeis proposed the vote of thanks and Elfa Mulla from 2 nd FND compeered the program.
