Milagres Institutions on January 26 celebrated the 74 th Republic Day. Students andfaculty of the CBSE, High School, PUC and Degree sections assembled for the day.Ms. Diana Dsouza, Secretary, PPC, Milagres Church was the chief guest for the day.Fr Michael Santhumayor, the campus Director, presided over the function. Mr.Melwin Vas, the principal of the PUC Section, Mr Stany Baretto, the Principal of thehigh school, Rev. Fr Udaya Fernandes, the principal of MSC section were present onthe dais.The chief guest Ms Diana Dsouza unfurled the National Flag which was led by theNational Anthem by the gathering. In her message, Ms Daina said that there is a needfor a country like ours to work hand in hand and live up to the expectations of theConstitution. The president, Fr Michael Santhumayor in his message said that it isnecessary that every human being respects each other only then every citizen canrespect the nation. A nation can grow when there is unity among all of them. Hewished all on this occasion.A patriotic song was sung by Degree students, the invocation was led by the studentsof the degree section. The student representative of the degree section spoke on thesignificance of the day.Hanna of II IDD, proposed the vote of thanks. Nickson Vas, a student of II Bcom,compered the programme. 550 students were present for the celebration.
