The Department of B.Sc. Food Nutrition and Dietetics organized two days Industrial tour for the final year B.Sc. FND students to Chikmangalore on 19th May, 2023. A total of 21 students along with 2 faculties had visited the industry. Tour started at 6.30 am from Milagres college Mangalore. Students visited the “Tasty World” industry at 11:45am. The managing director explained the various stages of Procurement, fried items processing e.g., Potato chips, milk sweet. Students were taken to the processing unit of the factory. After the industry visit students were taken to the homestay where they were served lunch and then by evening taken to some sight-seeing places. The day ended by campfire with some music, outdoor games and dinner. On 20th May, 2023, students spent time and enjoyed the glances of various other historical places such as Bellur temple and Halebidu. The tour ended at 6.30 pm on the same day and all students were back to Mangalore to Milagres college.
