On the occasion of Deepavali, Milagres Degree College organized a Creative Diya Making Competition on 15th November 2023, from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm in Classroom 401. A total of five groups enrolled their teams for the competition. Ms. Vineetha Mendonca coordinated the program. The diya, playing a central role in Deepavali, symbolizes light, hope, and the victory of good over evil. It carries deep cultural and religious significance and is an integral part of the joyous celebrations during the Deepavali festival. Each group delivered a beautiful presentation during the competition. Mrs. Sushmitha and Ms. Lenisha served as the judges, evaluating the entries based on creativity, neatness, color scheme, and presentation. The winners of the "Creative Diya Making Competition" were Arjun Salian & Deona Rebello of III ID&D, securing the first place, and Monisha Vas & Surayya Sadaf of III ID&D, securing the second place. Ms. Shaila Moras was in charge of the event.
